PM praises ADB's effective assistance (10/02/2012)

PM Nguyen Tan Dzung praised the Asian Development Bank’s effective cooperation and assistance, particularly in the fields of policy consultation and investment capital, to Vietnam over the past time while receiving the bank’s Vice President Stephen Groff in Hanoi on Feb 9.

The Government chief noted that the ADB-funded projects have made pratical contributions to socio-economic development in the Southeast Asian country. By now, ADB has provided around US $10 billion to Việt Nam.
 
He expected Vietnam and ADB would continue to expand their all-round cooperation and called on ADB to invest in infrastructure development projects and speed up capital disbursement for the country.
 
Vice President Stephen Groff spoke highly of Vietnam’s achievements in socio-economic development, especially in curbing inflation, stabilizing the macro-economy, and ensuring social welfare for its people.
 
The ADB executive affirmed that his bank always attaches importance to consolidating ties with  Vietnam.
